1986年推出的第三代迷你兵團，除了Wheelie這樣的全新角色，其餘皆與'84年那批聲名顯赫的初代成員同出一模。一樣的身軀，不同的出鏡率，地位低人一等。直到今天，多得Nick Roche和James Roberts這樣的怪才，才令他們各自大放異彩，教人回味。

民間廠iGear用簡單思維重造迷你兵團，在保持純樸和滿足當下的玩味標準中找平衡。Outback化身Bushwhacker，依G1傳統，理所當然地沿用上作Hench的軀體。本身Hench的設計已頗爲叫好，改模的部件也還原出Outback神韻。不似初代迷你兵團卡通與玩具兩種設定的面相差天共地，Outback所屬的第三代則保持了一致，因此Bushwhacker增設的面孔變成原創的戰鬥模式，護目鏡很對我口味。可惜Outback標誌性的銀、褐、卡其三色在Bushwhacker身上蕩然無存，那大面積蒼白調子實在過份地樸素，在出色外形之下，未免太過失"色"了。
