5年前，美版的Universe Onslaught一出即入，但很快就改造成IDW Hardhead。 2年前，仍旧对Onslaught念念不忘，再入日版。今日终有时机好好一写。

Universe开启Classic大系的黄金时代，用新思维新设定重做旧角色，想想如今蓬勃的民牌出品也同生于此。新生Onslaught外形比廿多年前的老套设定更厚实和有肌肉感。也许少了合体的负担，整副机体完整直接，没有莫名其妙的部位，惟碍于Ultra class需置入声光电子件，使其身躯白白成为一副硬直空壳，扭起pose都少不免阻手阻脚，枉费一副好造型。值得一提，有别于同期的HENKEI!HENKEI!，日版引进包括Onslaught在内这三款Ultra class后仍沿用Universe之名，连外盒甚至boxart的颜色都没有改，只是加多一个莫名其妙的“USA Edition”标注(注意不是Japan Edition)。虽然没有HENKEI!HENKEI!那非议的电镀件，但仍旧拥有比美版悦目的配色。机械人面罩分色与美版正好相反，更接近原设。惟背炮、拳头、肩甲依然保留美版常见灰胶色，我简单给他喷上消光黑，效果很好。这款Onslaught也遗传那个时期部份日版关节比美版松的毛病，我的Lambor、Inferno都有这问题。

关于玩具自身，相信已不需再多费唇舌，况且几年前也介绍过本品改模的Clench。今回更想写写关于Combaticons由精英沦为战犯的往事。官方俱乐部TFCC会员杂志的连载，横跨多个我们所熟悉的平行世界，而Combaticons这段历史，发生在以G1卡通为基础开展的“Wings Universe”，两者遥相呼应，但又非完全等同于同一世界。 Wings宇宙囊括三集Botcon Timelines：包括2009<Wings of Honor>、2010<Gerneration 2: Redux>、2013<Termination>，
以及差不多同期三年在俱乐部杂志连载的漫画<The Coming Storm>、<Battle Lines>、<A Flash Forward>、两篇小说<Flames of Yesterday>、<A Team Effort>。 Combaticons的故事正正始于<The Coming Storm>。

Combaticons是由博派Elite Guard的领导人Magnum组建的军事精英部队，原意是"Combat the Cons"，以其优秀的作战力，快速高效瓦解各路狂派势力，加快完结战争的脚步。敌方当然留神这支精锐中的精锐，作为塞星上势力最大的狂派军阀，Deathsaurus利用其对作战的自信设陷掳获。可能伴随着强大能力的同时总有着明显的人格缺陷，Deathsaurus早已摸清五子的底：Swindle的拜金和贪婪、Vortex对能量的饥渴、Blast对力量的痴迷、Brawl的莽撞冲动、还有Onslaught身为军校优秀生的骄傲以及对战事的执着，诱惑加上蛊惑，Combaticons最终将枪口​​对上自己人，并认为只有击倒Elite Guard才是他们实力最强证明，然后以此威慑世人，让无尽战争终结。五子接受Deathsaurus技术改造，实现大合体，最终Bruticus这个大怪物几乎令整支Elite Guard全军尽墨，Onslaught甚至亲自手刃了其昔日前线战友Metalhawk。即使事后知道Deathsaurus的使诈，这队昔日精英如今只有眼前路，而无身后身，唯一条心走下去。在Elite Guard残兵的反击战当中全数被擒，在押送途中又被打败Deathsaurus的Megatron掳回以研究合体技术，将Constructicons成功改造组合Devastator。五子亦从此成为狂派战犯，火种与机体剥离关押，直到多年之后发生在G1卡通再续后事。
