Cannonball是当年美版Cybertron玩具线的独有角色，发挥颜色魅力，将同系列正义小强三人组之一的Red Alert换上黑金色水并配上精致如骷髅拉花、阴阳目镜等细节描画，再赋予「海盗」角色设定，一个反派就这样诞生，卖相还比原版高出几班。虽然未能在主流作品中登场，但这种特征鲜明的边缘角色总得fans好感，网上不乏关于他的二次创作。

近年IDW大有影响着其它媒介之势头，无论是机体设定还是故事创作元素。<MTMTE>连载的骑士团寻觅之旅在这两年间打得火热，今年的Botcon年会也顺势祭出“骑士斗海盗”的主题，Cannonball就顺理成章地成为了boxset五子之一，而且还是第一个公布的角色。

基于TFP Ratchet改模合情合理毫不意外，并且跳过“原版”Red Alert获得全新头模，相较八年前更威风，看起来更接近Red Alert武装升级后的面相。我开始在想，他日TFSS会否又将这头模改色一款新版的Cybertron Red Alert？关于TFP Ratchet的负评听过不少，而且体积过小，与其它角色不成比例，所以从不在我的wish list之中。今次Cannonball从上色以至角色本身都合我口味，终有个理由让自己亲手一试此模。

结果果然不负负评之名。车形太过小器，手感单薄得很。从车形到人形，问题随之显露更多。变形不流畅，特别是车头变双腿时容易因部件之间干扰而甩脱。将车尾背板褶到机体背后的同时，头部会自动弹起有点惊喜，但相较于整个扫兴过程而言已显得微不足道。头、膊不在一直线，侧身看起来很别扭。颈关节虽然是ball joint，可惜因造型限制头部只能高仰而无法垂下。双腿仍旧受着车壳件干扰令人厌烦，而且导致膝关节活动范围有限，扭pose大打折扣。还幸脚板有勉强的接地角度，已经是此模难得加分之处。

设计的失色依然是他的死穴，就算Cannonball的观感已经比Ratchet生色，亦只流于表面风光，实在可惜这个有趣的角色了。

当初我买TFP救护车也纯属是因为喜欢这个角色，但跟其他同伴放在一起不成比例，实在是很不爽的说。
