The trailer is for the most part pretty much the same. Except for some extra clips. I'll list them off.
-The first noticeable clip is the crash site of the Ark on the moon. It starts by showing twisted medal and such scattered everywhere. I'm not sure if it's actually in the Ark, or just around the Ark itself. But we see Optimus and Ratchet walking towards the wreckage. They look really awesome here. I feel that Ratchet will get more screentime in this scene than in all of ROTF.
-A quick slow motion shot of Bumblebee and Sam falling. I'm not sure what caused them to fall. Maybe they are falling off a building? I'm not certain. But they are falling with debris and wood everywhere along with them.
-A slight extended clip of the flying soldiers jumping out of the plane.
-The last new clip was an AMAZING shot of jetpack Optimus flying through the city towards the driller. It then goes into slow motion and Optimus is flying straight towards it as it starts to surround him and actually looks like it's fixing to eat him or something. It was breathtaking. The 3D I witnessed is truly the best I've seen yet. I work at a theater so I've witnessed plenty of 3D for all types of movies. I'm not being bias at all, It's top notch. It's so crisp and works really well.
There may have been something I missed, but I doubt it.
The only other minor differences were when Bumblebee transforms to catch Sam and Lennox you can hear him actually transforming this time instead of just the music. Also when the Driller attacks the building you can see where they have put in more chunks of building and stuff falling off. You can definitely tell they are still adding things in.
No new shots of any other Transformers. Which is personally fine with me. I don't want to see everything.
So there you have it. You're welcome.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The new trailer for Michael Bay's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" has been downloaded more than 6 million times in its first 24 hours on iTunes Movie Trailers (http://www.apple.com/trailers), becoming the most-viewed trailer in the site's history.
The 3D Trailer is now ready to go live with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 3D, which will release on May 20th, 2011.
“Bay has just finished the 3D trailer which will be featured on 'Pirates.' It's basically the same trailer with a couple new shots.”
And it seems as though the 3D trailer will be similar to the Trailer we saw couple of days ago but with extra few shots (most probably to show off 3D goodness).
The Theatrical Trailer we saw will be the last big Transformers 3 trailer we will see. The upcoming trailers (apart from the 3D version of the same trailer) are all TV Spots.
Nelson also shared how Michael Bay shot the “Bumblebee running up the wall scene” we saw on the trailer. You can read about it at S4TE.
