I strongly agree with your point of view. But I couldn’t afford to spend big proportion of my income on TF, as I have to pay mortgage and raise my two year old son up. And there is no TFE, MP, or ...
lucky aint got no mortgage n things to pay up or kids on my back LOL. so the money generally goes right to where the best interests are held. again, lucky thus far.
also, talking about the sources for getting TF toys, I guess you can try to look up on ebay hk too, where the price of toys are probably slightly a little higher than what they are offered on those Chinese auction sites but you will get yourself a good combined shipping deal also saving a ton of money , and more importantly, a stress-free transaction at end of day and usually incredible prompt shipping as well. Those hongky sellers have the wide product range covered in their ebay stores even those hard to find so called "limited editions" toys if you are lucky sometimes. Like I got my Henkei thundercracker and skywarp from one of those guys for a relatively reasonable price as well as the pre-orders placed for the Henkei thrust and dirge.
Purchases from mainlander sellers are not bad too, especially, sellers are usually very friendly but the transaction every time is extremely time consuming: takes forever to for me to receive my order. Making payments are always supper pain in the ass as they don't take Paypal. Take those transactions of cloth trading I've had in the past with Taobaoers for example, every time I had to envelop out the cash in RMB, that payment took minimum two to three weeks to reach them and took another two weeks for the order to travel to here...plus those horrible stories heard about Chinese postal system how they messed up your parcels and destroyed products inside n things... To sum up, too many uncertainties and stress that I felt it took me way too much energy in dealing with transactions from China comparing what is it normally supposed from other locations. That's why I'd rather to pay a little bitta more, just to smoothen up the process. I am pretty sure a lot of people out there might disagree with me on this. But I am not gonna run tany risk on TF toys. I have begun the collection for three monthes roughly I haven't purchased any TF toys from China yet beside Hongkong, and I don't think I will at least for the time being.
